Job description:

1. Develop, evaluate, and optimize chemical formulations and rubber compounds used in the manufacturing of tires and related products.
2. Analyze manufacturing processes and production data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, product quality, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
3. Conduct research and testing of raw materials, chemical additives, polymers, and rubber compounds to enhance tire performance, durability, and safety.
4. Design and implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase productivity, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
5. Perform root-cause analysis of production and quality issues and develop corrective and preventive actions.
6. Monitor and evaluate manufacturing operations to ensure consistent product specifications and quality standards are met.
7. Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, technical reports, and engineering specifications.
8. Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality assurance, and management personnel to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement engineering solutions.
9. Utilize statistical analysis, process control techniques, and engineering principles to improve manufacturing performance and product reliability.
10. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
11. Support new product development initiatives by conducting laboratory testing, pilot-scale evaluations, and production trials.
12. Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.
